1/2-inch Threaded Dripline Vacuum Relief Air Vent

Vacuum relief air vents are designed to discharge and allow air inside drip irrigation tubing as required. Both the presence and absence of air can damage and cause problems with any irrigation system. If air becomes trapped in pipes, water flow can be impeded lowering the distribution of uniformity of applied water. Trapped air can cause damage to pipes, tubing and fittings. Also water hammer can create inaccurate readings of water and flow meters.

• Recommended for use in subsurface systems
  • Allows air evacuation of the drip zone at strart-up
  • Allows air into the drip zone at shutdown to prevent back-siphonage that may pull debris into the dripline
• Not required for on-surface systems, but can be helpful in drip zones with uneven and sloping terrain
